The Ecovacs Deebot T50 Pro Omni delivers exceptional low-profile cleaning and pet hair pickup, but stumbles over persistent navigation bugs and high maintenance quirks.
Get this if you desperately need a slim vacuum to clean under low furniture, but pass if you cannot tolerate software bugs and stubborn mapping quirks.
Owners frequently praise the T50 Pro Omni for its remarkably slim profile, which allows it to glide under low-lying furniture that traps bulkier vacuums. The ZeroTangle system earns high marks from pet owners for effectively pulling dog hair out of carpets without wrapping around the brush, while the spinning TruEdge 2.0 mop pads excel at hugging baseboards and corners. Automated stain detection and AI features also surprise users by catching messes that human eyes miss.
However, the robot's daily reliability is heavily undercut by software bugs and erratic mapping performance. Many owners report frustration with the dToF LiDAR system taking longer to recalibrate, rooms being misidentified or combined, and smart algorithms causing the robot to avoid patterned carpets or half of an apartment entirely. Station maintenance is another mixed bag; while self-cleaning features reduce daily chores, filters clog rapidly, base tray crevices are hard to clean, and replacement parts drive up long-term ownership costs.

"Mine is just over a year old and has been great. Vacuums daily and mops twice a week."
After 6–12 Months
Long-term owners note that while the core suction and pet hair pickup remain strong after a year of daily use, software updates can introduce navigation regressions, and the long-term durability of station plastics and internal components remains a concern.
Best for
Homeowners with extensive low-clearance furniture and heavy pet hair shedding.
Not for
Users with complex multi-room carpet layouts who want a zero-hassle, set-it-and-forget-it navigation experience.

What owners report, topic by topic
Cleaning & Pet Hair
Owners consistently report strong suction and effective pet hair removal thanks to the ZeroTangle system, though carpet-specific cleaning can occasionally be inconsistent.
Navigation & Mapping
Mapping capabilities are heavily contested; while the slim profile is praised, owners frequently struggle with lost robots, misidentified rooms, and algorithmic avoidance of patterned carpets.
Maintenance & Station
The Omni station reduces daily chores, but owners find that filters clog quickly, base tray crevices trap dirt, and replacement parts add ongoing costs.
