The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 delivers reliable stability for slow miles and long hours on your feet, but long-time fans report frustrating changes to sizing, durability, and fit.
Skip it unless you specifically need rigid arch support for walking or slow miles.
Owners consistently praise the GuideRails support system for keeping feet properly aligned, making these shoes a dependable choice for walkers, nurses, and runners managing pronation or collapsing arches. The balanced, responsive foam handles long days exceptionally well without feeling overly squishy.
However, a significant number of owners note a drop in build quality and consistency compared to previous iterations. Complaints include a tighter toe box, heel slippage, premature outsole and foam wear, and upper mesh tears within six months of use. Additionally, the firmer foam and pronounced medial support trigger new pains, blisters, and tendonitis flare-ups for runners who do not require heavy stability.
Owners Love
- +Effective GuideRails support system keeps feet properly aligned and reduces unwanted movement
- +Balanced, responsive cushioning maintains integrity during long days on feet
- +Reliable outsole durability for many owners who primarily walk or log steady miles
Owners Flag
- −Inconsistent sizing and narrower toe box compared to previous Adrenaline models
- −Premature structural wear, including peeling toe rubber and worn-out exterior foam
- −Pronounced medial support and firmer foam cause new aches, arch blisters, and tendonitis flare-ups for some users
"The problem I'm having is when I wear this pair, I get peroneal tendonitis flare ups... for days and it's painful!"
After 6–12 Months
Lifespan varies dramatically based on individual gait and use. While some owners log hundreds of miles without issue, others experience structural folding, worn foam, and upper mesh tears within 3 to 6 months of daily wear or treadmill incline walking.
Best for
Walkers, nurses, and runners with severe pronation who need firm, structured arch support for daily wear.
Not for
Runners expecting the roomier fit of older Adrenaline versions or neutral runners who do not need heavy stability.

What owners report, topic by topic
Support & Stability
The GuideRails system earns widespread praise for keeping feet aligned and preventing excessive rolling, though the medial support feels invasive and painful for runners who do not require heavy stability.
Fit & Sizing
Owners frequently report that sizing runs smaller and tighter in the toe box compared to earlier versions, with some experiencing heel slippage and arch blistering.
Durability & Build Quality
Experiences are sharply divided; while some owners get hundreds of miles out of the outsoles, many report premature wear including peeling rubber, missing logos, foam collapse, and mesh tears within months.
